Change Management & AI Transformation

Change happens when people are ready, willing, and able to work in new ways.

Nelson Consulting Group helps organizations manage change from start to finish. We work hand in hand with our clients as they navigate the messy path to a desired future state.

What we do

Two practices, one discipline.

Every engagement is change management at its core - the difference is what's changing. While one practice focuses on general change management, the other focuses specifically on change management for AI transformations.

Practice 01

Organizational Change Management

For restructures, new systems, mergers, and operating model shifts — the change work that has to happen alongside the business decision, not after it.

  • Impact and readiness assessment
  • Change strategy and planning
  • Manager and sponsor alignment
  • Communications and engagement
  • Skill building and reinforcement
Practice 02

AI Transformation Change Management

For organizations rolling out AI tools and workflows — where the technology is often ready well before the people, process, and trust are.

  • AI readiness
  • Workflow redesign
  • Organization and role redesign
  • Skill building
  • Culture and trust-building
How we work

Our Approach

A four-stage approach built around what actually determines whether change sticks — not just whether people know what's changing, but whether they're ready for it, willing to do it, and able to carry it out.

01

Assess

We map the real current state — not the org chart version. Who's affected, what they stand to lose or gain, and where resistance will actually come from.

02

Align

Sponsors, managers, and teams get a shared, specific picture of what's changing, why now, and what it asks of each of them.

03

Adopt

We build the change into the workday itself — training, workflows, and manager routines — rather than leaving it as a launch event.

04

Advance

We track adoption after go-live, reinforce what's sticking, and correct what isn't, until the new way is just the way things work.

About

Change fails for predictable reasons. We work to preempt those barriers before they even arise.

"People resist change they aren't ready for, didn't agree to, or don't have the skills to carry out. Our work closes those gaps, deliberately, before they show up and sideline an organization."
